62 panelvan. Crying out for body drop
« on: June 09, 2016, 09:34:13 PM »
Now that Cactus Pete is finished

we are itching to get cracking on our panel van.

It was in a bad state so we decided to take the body off.

First up we got the chassis in a jig clamped in nice and square then went about repairing the rotten rail.

We are just making a frame now for the body that should enable us to drop the body back on but 3" lower and then go from there.

A little progress this week. That's the body fixed in place now on the jig so we can start adding pieces. We've decided this will be a painted bus so a lot of new panels are now going on.

Some panels arrived from autocraft.
Rails meet the balance nicely other than being a little higher lol

A little bit of progress been happening. Put the 924 torsion housing in and arms on to see where the wheel would sit.
