Thanks! 8)

Well I've owned it for about 2.5 years. I knew what I wanted to do but it took about a year to save some coin, order parts, get parts modified, and locating parts to purchase. Once I got all the required pieces and all the parts, I put it together. Here's my set up:

Vintagevdub 4" narrowed beam
Vintagevdub flipped spindles
Womack offset spring plates
15.5 BRMs
195/60 rear
165/50 front
68 beetle transmission

Obviously I got safaris, headlight guards, and other bits and pieces. I also replaced all the pop out window frames and numerous seals. Patched up some holes in the cargo floor, still need to patch up some other ones and replace two rear jack trusses. I'll eventually clear coat it. I still need to raise the steering box, tub it out, and lower it a bit more. I also have a bunch of burlap bags to panel up. At this point I'm letting the bank account get a little fatter to finish it off. The good thing is that I'm keeping it forever and have plenty of time to take care of these concerns.

Thats a good outlook to have, getting the right parts first time and doing it right is a must.

I am back to a similar position with my new bus, I have started collecting the parts and saving the cash to get it sorted and then i can just build it up when it is all ready. You have the advantage of being able to drive around and I cant wait to be back into a roadworthy bus.  :)
