2nd Annual Capital City Spring Fling 2010

Postby olymale on 26 Jan 2010, 20:20

We are booked for the show and will be adding our webpage asap. Just to let everyone know that we will be holding our season opener all VW show and swap meet this year on April 10th. It will be held at the same location as last year since it was perfect for the entire function. This will be an affordable show for all. Last year was a hugh success and we had a great time putting this show on. Again we will be having on-site camping available as last years was a blast. I will update this as soon as we get the website up so you can pre-register. Thanks to all that attended and made last year a success and a pure joy to put on. Thanks Keith

um...NO

William, if you dont know already, I dont ride shotgun. I, unlike you, drive my bus. :P
Eric usually has a busy schedule or his bus is not going so I let him roll shotgun and hold my coffee. works out great. win win.
hahhahahaa!!

hasnt actually been that way in recent trips though. I had to recruit a new young batch of starbucks cup holding prospects. my new helper Oscar, now he is good, but he just doesnt have the same reflexes as Eric. Eric just knows, its like his 6th sense. if I even think I want a sip, that cup is at my lips. then he quickly wipes the rim with his personal hankerchief and returns the cup to the ready position.

actually, my bus is having some issues right now. Im going to Dragdays, the Butterfield campout, and out to the VTO meeting, that is about 800 miles. besides normal outings. if its still going strong, Ill think on it.

I know a few from the Rose City Volksters out of Portland are caravaning up for the show. You might get on their forum and see if you can't join in with them. I let them know that they need to be at the show site between 8am - 10 am to get parked and setup by the time the show starts at 10am. If you plan on camping Friday night we will have the campgrounds gate open at noon on Friday the 9th. If you guys want to camp be sure to get on our website and get registered for a spot in the campgrounds. http://thedubshop.net/fling/temp/group/group.php Sure will be great to have some SBS brothas at the show.

This year looks like it's going to be a great show, we are totally booked for indoor vendors and the swap area is filling fast this week. The weather is forecast to be nice on Saturday and no rain on Friday night for the campers. I know of at least three SBS members, Kelly, Joe Pugh and myself that will be here so at least we will have a showing. We also have a few clubs coming in force locally and from Eastern Wa., Canada, Oregon and Idaho. I'll post pics of the show next week...... Oh and a Special Big Thank-You out to Chris and Heather for printing all the Tee's and hoodies plus the stickers for the show....... I'm a bit nervous as they're still in shipment but the tracking is that I should have them by Friday
